To entirely agree with Sir J. Cande that the
No 10
Appointment of a superior lending Engineer
is altogether premature and would suggest tentatively for the present Arrangement by telegram.-
It will be as well, in order to bring this matter to an issue, to communicate to Sir J. Cande the substance of the subsequent despatches and to obtain from him a decided expression of his opinion as to the necessity of offering further information before appearing for Price design?
